We got our weimaraner, Auggie, at 4.5 months old. Our first night he was reserved and understandably a little nervous. Within a very brief time, he was right at home and has become such a wonderful addition to our little family. He is gentle with the children (all under the age of 8) and we even find him snuggling with the cat on the couch. He is a very sweet boy and we are thankful to Diane at Blue Silver Shadow Weimaraners for such a great pup!…..Emily (Waldoboro, ME)

I bought Lily from you in Sept (she was 8 months old) and bought Prudence from you in Aug .  I wanted to tell you about our success story–Lily has worked out great.  It took awhile, but they are best buds now.  Look at how sweet they are… They want to be on top of each other all the time and can’t bear to be separated!  Lily is the most affectionate dog I have ever met, and Prudence is the most playful–they are an even match and I can’t imagine my life without them. Thank you…..Melanie (New Rochelle, NY)

I hope you are doing well.  I wanted to take a minute this morning and thank you again for my wonderful dogs.  It’s been a really rough year for me–going through a divorce, moving to a new town and starting over. The one constant thing in my life that I can count on is the love and friendship my dogs give me every single day.  You can post this in your testimonials, I am so lucky to have met you and your wonderful dogs. Mine remind me every day to exercise and love life with the same exuberance they do.  They have adjusted to our new home easily and appear to be happier than ever.  I remember when I adopted Lily from you, you asked me which dog would get more attention from strangers–Prudence, my vizsla, or my new weim?  I finally have the answer–ME.  Because everyone asks me why I was crazy enough to bring the two most energetic dogs around into my life!  My answer–I couldn’t imagine a single day without them.  They are an inspiration.  Thank you again–I have attached a beautiful recent photo of my girls.  Happy Holidays! Best….Melanie (Highland, NY)

I’m 2 now and as you can see I’m a very handsome boy! I get to go hiking, play in the park with lots of dog friends and even have a feline sister to cuddle with when I take a nap while waiting for dinner. I’m a very good boy. I love to cuddle and help mom with all the chores, laundry, raking, mowing and cleaning. She calls me her Velcro puppy. I also chase all the squirrels out of the yard! I can stay home alone without being in the crate and watch the house and my sister! I love my family and they love me!  (Castleton, NY)

First letter: I just wanted to give you an update on our new puppy. He is in perfect health and is growing at an amazing rate. We named him DeeJay and I have to tell you that he has the best temperament. He is very sweet with just the right amount of silliness. He is very smart and has already been house broken, his basic training is really coming along. DeeJay is a wonderful addition to our family and he is getting along great with my kids, my older Weim and the cats. I just wanted to express our happiness with our new family member. Please don’t ever hesitate to use us for a reference. You really do know your breeds. Again thank you very much and I’ll drop you an email on occasion.Thank you!….John and Danielle (Pittsfield, MA)

Second Letter

Here is a picture of DeeJay. He just came back from the vets for more shots. Even the vet says how impressed they are with his temperament and health. He really is a great puppy. He now weighs 27 pounds which is up from 12.5 when we first got him. He’s a good eater and only grazes at his food. I’ll keep in touch and will send photos from time to time to keep you updated. Please feel free to use try last letter on you testimonial page. I’ll talk to you soon… John (Pittsfield, MA)

I hope this email finds you well. I’m not sure if you remember me but we purchased a puppy from you and the farm back in June. Her name is Lenox and she was born in the March 27th litter.  I wanted to touch base with you about the documents that were promised us once we got Lenox spayed. I have attached a copy of our certificate that we received from the vet upon her spaying. She was spayed last Wednesday. She is doing extremely well and has been a blessing and a joy to our home. She is very well behaved for a puppy. She has gone to puppy kindergarten and gone through six weeks of training with a personal trainer. She loves to eat, hike and run with us!….Mindy (Pittsfield, MA)k o

Dane is the most loving, friendly, energetic beach loving dog. He is the smartest dog that I have come across and I cannot go anywhere without someone complementing me on my beautiful dog. He has become my best friend and goes everywhere with me. He is the best pup ever. thanks!….Cassandra and Michael(Montauk, NY) on

We just wanted to take a moment and let you know how much we love our son Dexter. He is growing leaps-n-bounds daily and is a great source of joy for us. I have attached a few pictures so you can see for yourself how happy he is. Dexter has shown to be very intelligent but has a mind of his own and can be stubborn at times. Every were he goes, everyone comments on how well behaved he is. We are currently training him to visit the local care home to meet the elderly individuals who reside their. He is an absolute love! Dexter behaves unbelievably well is the house, although he has been nicknamed the thief. He does not chew any household items but loves to steal and hide them, as you will see in the attached photo of him with my daughters shoe. He has so many quirks that keep us constantly laughing. When he wakes up in the morning, he has to clean his room (crate) before he will say hello to anyone. He literally takes all his toys and blankets out of his crate and puts them on the couch for the day. And every ones favorite trick is a tie between the cow bell he rings to announce he has to “go out” or when it is time to eat he will meet us at the food cabinet and do flips all the way to his feeding station. As happy as Dexter sounds, he has brought more joy to us than we could ever do for him. Thank you for allowing us to care for and raise one of the best dogs I have ever met.PS. Dexter is doing wonderfully in his obedience class with our 14 year old and they are considering training for junior obedience. We will let you know how that goes!….The Reinheimer Family (Wellsboro, PA)

Hi Blue Silver Shadow Weimaraners!!!!!! Long time no type! we have been so busy with our new family member, we can’t believe she is 5 months old! And yes….we did have a birthday party!!! As you can see from her earlier pictures (the latest are sitting in my camera and as soon as I can I will send some of those too!) Lily has become an integral member of the Morrison Family!!! She is just the best, the kids adore her and let’s face it I consider her my third child……I know to non-dog owners this sounds crazy but hey that’s what owning a dog is all about! She is training very easily on almost everything but only for her momma! It’s hysterical and Gregg thinks its funny too..most of the time ? She listens to the kids better than she does Daddy! I rarely have to tell her anything twice and I am continually amazed at her obedience and her quick response to do so! She is spectacular to watch outdoors, she is just something. Her beauty and grace can only be bettered by her crazy antics and wild runs with the children. She just visited her very own vacation spot in the Adirondacks this past week for the first time. We have a lakehouse and she just couldn’t wait to get into that water. The look on her face was hysterical when she realized how cold it still was! But go figure she tried again a couple minutes later much to her chagrin that the water temp had still not warmed! She absolutely loved running through the woods, smelling all the critters, and had long dream filled naps to prove just how much. Thanks so much for helping us out with this baby. She at 5 months is already 37 pounds! Her definition is perfect, her coat gleaming, and a resounding “picture of health” from our vet. We will keep you posted! Sincerely….The Morrison Family (Williamsville, NY)

Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that your beautiful Weim puppy (Ellie) is settling in well in her new home. She is brave, well-mannered, welcoming to people and dogs, and does not bark. She has already mastered "sit" and "come," and conquered her fear of our very scary stairs. She is a joy to be around and a wonderful addition to our household. I'll send you some photos once I get them from Kenneth's phone. Thank you for bringing this perfect puppy into the world and into our homes! We love her so very much.Best, Katie (Ft. Drum, NY)

Hello. This is Natalie I received a baby Weimaraner from you in December. I am just writing you to say thank you for everything. His name is Codi and he is our pride and joy. Louis and I love him so very much and he is very spoiled. We take him to the dog park often and everyone always comments on how beautiful and well mannered he is. Here are some pictures of him when he was a baby (about 8 weeks old), I figured you can post them on your site since he looks so cute, haha. I will send you some recent ones when I get some time. Thanks again. :).....Love, Natalie (Philadelphia, PA)

Hey guys, this is a long overdue email back to Baron's home...It's his mommy and daddy writing (Katja and Russell from Brooklyn, NY). Baron is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to us. He is doing fantastic (Will also include a few shots of him to let you know how big he's gotten). From the first minute he got to the house we knew he would be a handful - and a few chewed up pumps and especially daddy's sneakers later, we still have so much love for him that I think he must be sick of us. He is in great shape, the most social dog I ever did see. He needs to hug and kiss every dog we meet on the way to the park; loves to roll around on the grass and carpet and sometimes in things that do not smell very pleasant (I just gave him a bath because of that...) and is a little devil at times. But overall, you just got to love him when he looks at you with his blue eyes (surprisingly , they still have a pale blue hint in them) He is much of a traveler already having seen Germany and enjoying the snow in the Tirolean Alps... He's not much of a summer Weimie....We just want to say thank you again for the loving start he got in your impeccable stables and for allowing us to have him in our daily live. He definitely is a blessing (sometimes more than others). Thanks again and much love from Brooklyn, NY. Katja and Russell (Brooklyn, NY)
